Materials for WFF Libraries:

WFF-supported libraries provide far more than reading materials. They serve as centers of educational, social, and emotional support in economically marginal communities. Wilkinson Family Foundation supplies books, classroom materials, nutritional assistance, and facility maintenance to ensure every child has the resources and environment needed to learn, grow, and thrive.

Siloe Library (Funding target $10,000)

The library at Escuela Siloe is our flagship library. It has gained recognition throughout El Salvador for its diverse and excellent programs. Under the management of Librarian Cristy Escobar, the library has grown from a couple of bookshelves to over a thousand books and hosts an annual Book Fair, monthly Toddler Reading Time, a Women’s Book Club, and serves as a resource for all teaching staff. This program is such a valuable community and school resource that expansion needs are in the works. Stay tuned!

Mies Library (Funding target $15,000)

Escuela Bautista Mies Library program is continuing to grow! Currently a small one-room library with limited resources, our goal is to add many more reading materials and literacy resources. Librarian Debby Ventura is expanding programs to include a Women’s Book Club and community.

Citala Library (Funding target $10,000)

Citala is more than a library—it’s a safe and welcoming place for children and families. By opening access to books, English classes, emotional support, and family support programs, Citala helps children overcome challenges at home and build brighter futures.

La Argentina Library (Funding target $15,000)

La Argentina’s new community library is under construction and will serve as more than just a place for books. The library will provide a support system for children through high school, offering educational resources, school supplies, nutritional assistance, tutoring, and family support to encourage continued academic success.
